For those interested in a career supporting and maintaining computer networks, the Computer Career Center located in Amarillo, Texas offers a certificate to become a Network Administrator. Students will become capable of troubleshooting and repairing network and non-network computers through their training courses. This certificate program will allow students to seek additional certification in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSE, and CCNA. After completing the program at technical school, students will be able to become network administrators or computer repair specialists in any type of company. Past graduates have found jobs in government agencies, large corporations, small businesses, manufacturing industries, computer consulting firms,
and educational institutions.

Students will develop the abilities in installing and upgrading software, designing and programming systems, and developing computer networks. They are also involved in the maintenance and security of these areas. Network administrators are trusted to make recommendations to company leadership as to the operations and equipment pertaining to computer systems. They also are responsible for being on the edge of technology so the company can utilize the latest designs in software and hardware.

ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME: 14 months for days students/16 months for evening students
