Independent Certification Exams The independent certification exams are difficult. The classroom instruction at Texas Computer Training Institute is one part of the test-preparation process. Students should be prepared to attend class regularly, study content away from class, finish all applicable courses, review content covered in class and take multiple practice tests in order to prepare for the independent certification exam(s). Most students usually take 1-3 months from the time the seminar ends to prepare for and pass their certification exams. Because the exams are independent, this timeframe will vary by student. Students should take certification exams when they are ready--could be ahead of the guidelines, in line with the guidelines or later than the guidelines. Independent certification exam vouchers for the certification exams are not included. Payment for the independent certification exams associated with each seminar is the sole responsibility of the student if and when the student decides to take the certification exam(s). Students can purchase testing vouchers directly from respective exam authorities, testing centers, or through several third-party companies over the Internet.
