Network Administrator Program in El Paso, TX

The Computer Career Center prepares students for jobs as a Network Administrator by teaching them how to maintain and support a computer network. After completing the program, students will be able to set up a network and troubleshoot any problems that appear. They also be able to repair basic hardware problems of computers. These studies will also prepare students with the network principles to receive certification in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSE, and CCNA. Jobs as a network administrator or computer repair specialist are offered in a range of business environments including corporations, small businesses, government agencies, manufacturing companies, consulting firms and educational institutions.

Those who become a Network Administrator work with computer programmers, systems analysts, and support specialists. Some of the responsibilities network administrators have are to install and upgrade software, program and design systems, develop networks, implement web sites. In addition to maintaining and setting up networks, students will learn how to secure networks. They will also have the skills for analyzing the needs of an organization with an operational and strategic perspective in order to streamline procedures. Making purchase recommendations on equipment may also fall under their job descriptions. Students also keep up to date with new technologies so companies can remain competitive within their industry.
